
Founded in 2022, the Play Café has officially opened its new location at 153 Marion Blvd., Marion. The business celebrated with a ribbon cutting June 13.
Owned and operated by Jen English and Mackenzie Ward, the play space features a “mini Marion” where kids and build with blocks, a grocery store, post office, veterinary clinic, and stage as well as climbing areas for children.
The move to its new location has nearly doubled its space to 2,900 square feet, with a dedicated space for parties, a quiet room and an outside area for messy play.
“The main thing we focus on is play being for everyone. We don’t put on age on it.” said Ms. English in a news release.
Families can visit the Play Café for “open play” seven days a week for an $8 admission price per child, guardians do not pay admission.
In addition to open play, The Play Café specializes in children’s parties – offering décor, party favors, balloons, and more. The business also hosts monthly special events.
