Cedar Rapids-based exterior contractor Tri-County Enterprises has acquired the assets of Waterloo-based Community Builders Supply Co.

Tri-County will move its operations into the former Community Builders facility, establishing it as the company’s new Waterloo office for staff and material storage.

Community Builders Supply Co. was established in 1968 and incorporated in 1973.

“First and foremost, we’re thankful to the Skarlis family for their history in the Cedar Valley and entrusting us to acquire the building,” said Branden Peters, president and co-owner of Tri-County. “This is our way of carrying on their legacy of craftsmanship.”

Tri-County has served Waterloo, Cedar Falls and the surrounding area for years. Peters said the addition of a physical location will increase the company’s service offerings in the region.

“We’re looking forward to bringing even more of the power of Tri-County to the area,” Peters said.
