NEFCO, a leading supplier of construction materials, announced Thursday it was opening a new branch in Cedar Rapids, strengthening the company’s ability to serve contractors across Iowa and the surrounding Midwest region.
The new 22,500-square-foot facility, which NEFCO refers to as an “Orangefield” for an organic branch opening, is at 10000 6th St. SW, Building 1, Suite 100, Cedar Rapids. It marks the company’s 19th Orangefield location and includes both warehouse and office space.
The Cedar Rapids branch will stock an extensive inventory of high-quality products, including the company’s SHARP product line—strut channel & fittings, hardware, anchors, threaded rod and pipe hangers—along with power tools, safety gear, and general jobsite supplies.
“We’re proud to plant deeper roots in Iowa with the opening of our latest Orangefield in Cedar Rapids,” said Matthew Gelles, NEFCO President and CEO. “Iowa has a strong and growing contractor community, and this location allows us to better support that demand with the inventory, expertise, and dependable service NEFCO is known for. We’re excited to be part of the continued growth in Cedar Rapids and across the state.”
The opening bolsters the East Hartford, Connecticut-based company’s Midwest operations and its commitment to rapid service and support for the construction industry.
