An Iowa ground transportation company will begin shuttle service March 1 connecting travelers from the Dubuque Regional Airport to the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids.
Anaman Concierge Service, which has served the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area since 2017, received a permit from Dubuque Regional Airport to provide the curb-to-curb service.
The shuttle will pick up Dubuque-area travelers at the Captain Robert L. Martin Terminal in Dubuque and drop them at their airline ticket counter in Cedar Rapids. After return flights, passengers will be picked up at Cedar Rapids baggage claim and driven back to Dubuque.
Shuttles will depart Dubuque at 2 a.m., 7 a.m., 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Return trips from Cedar Rapids will run from 9:30 a.m. to midnight. The service costs $40 plus tax per leg during regular business hours and $50 plus tax outside business hours.
Reservations can be made through anamancs.com.
“This partnership supports the Dubuque Regional Airport’s mission to serve as a transportation hub and facilitate access to air service while we continue to pursue commercial flights,” said Todd Dalsing, Dubuque Regional Airport manager. “It’s an opportunity to take advantage of our free parking and let someone else do the driving to Cedar Rapids.”
Felix Anaman, CEO of Anaman Concierge Service, said his company looks for ways to make travel easier.
“I’m a bit passionate when it comes to seeing people in need. I want to try as much as possible in my own small way to provide a solution,” Mr. Anaman said.
Marty Lenss, Eastern Iowa Airport director, said the service aims to keep Tri-States travelers flying from an Iowa airport.
“We have had a longstanding relationship with Anaman and know the premium service his company provides,” Mr. Lenss said. “This option gives the Dubuque area a great way to use CID with our 17 nonstop flights and more than 400 one-stop connections.”
