LCS, the management company for Cottage Grove Place, has ranked first in resident satisfaction among independent senior living communities for the seventh consecutive year, according to J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. Senior Living Satisfaction Study released Wednesday, Feb. 4.
The Des Moines-based company also achieved top rankings across all six factors measured in the study: dining, community building/grounds, resident apartment/living unit, price paid for services received, community staff and resident activities.
The consecutive awards make LCS the most awarded independent senior living company in the history of the J.D. Power study.
“Earning a J.D. Power award for the seventh consecutive year is a powerful testament to the trust our residents place in us and the exceptional commitment our teams bring to their communities every day,” said Chris Bird, LCS CEO. “Our residents’ confidence in the experience and care we provide is the highest honor we can receive, and we are grateful for their continued support.”
LCS provides management services to more than 130 senior living communities nationwide, including Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids and Green Hills Retirement Community in Ames.
The J.D. Power study is based on responses from residents living in independent, assisted living or memory care senior living communities.
Founded in 1996, Cottage Grove Place is a locally owned, nonprofit senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing services. LCS is the nation’s third-largest operator of senior living communities.
