Center Point Regional Ambulance will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for a new facility designed to expand emergency response capabilities in northern Linn County.

The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at 521 Franklin St. in Center Point. The event is open to the public.

The volunteer-driven nonprofit has served the region for decades. The new facility will include improved ambulance bays, training and meeting space, and upgraded infrastructure to support modern emergency response needs.

“Center Point Regional Ambulance has served this community for decades with incredible dedication,” said Don Donley, president of Center Point Regional Ambulance, in a release. “This project ensures we can continue to provide high-quality emergency services for years to come. We’re grateful to our volunteers, donors, and construction partners for making this vision possible.”

Allan Development Company of Cedar Rapids is managing the project, with Andrew Brundell serving as project manager.

“Allan Development is proud to partner with Center Point Regional Ambulance on this important community project,” Mr. Brundell said. “This isn’t just a building—it’s an investment in public safety and local collaboration.”

The project was made possible through contributions from local contractors and partners. Key contributors include FBI Buildings for materials and building construction, Hall & Hall Engineers Inc. for civil engineering, Keystone Savings Bank for financing, Rabe Hardware for plumbing, electrical and HVAC work, and Wax Excavating for site preparation. Allan Development Company is serving as general contractor.

Center Point Regional Ambulance is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides emergency medical services to Center Point and surrounding communities. The organization is staffed by certified EMTs and supported by community donations and volunteers.
