Sip at Midtown Reserve has now opened, adding a new wine-focused venue next to the Midtown Reserve steakhouse.
The wine bar, located at 319 Seventh St, SE in Cedar Rapids, offers curated wine flights, small plate pairings and a vine-covered patio. The space is intended as a more casual complement to the neighboring Midtown Reserve, while maintaining the same focus on service and quality, according to the business.
“Sip is all about making great wine approachable and enjoyable,” said manager Gabby Waltermyer. “We’ve created a space where people can slow down, connect, and experience something special without the formality of fine dining.”
The bar features seating under string lighting and an outdoor patio designed for social gatherings, date nights or after-work stops.
Sip is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. The business plans to add seasonal events, exclusive tastings and live entertainment on the patio.
