The Corridor Business Journal had the chance to spotlight another remarkable class of Forty Under 40 honorees during a dinner honoring them which took place in person at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cedar Rapids Oct. 14.  The honorees were selected for their meaningful contributions to the region’s companies and communities in their young careers.

This is the 17th year of the Forty Under 40 program.

The 2021 CBJ Forty Under 40 class has continued to overcome many unique challenges as they continue to juggle a pandemic world.  From balancing jobs, children, education and volunteering, they all have been able to achieve remarkable actions despite many obstacles.

This year’s class raised $5,000 for Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa as part of the “Three-Word Acceptance Speech Rule.”  Honorees got the first three words in their acceptance speeches free of charge.  They paid $25 per word after the first three words or $500 for a one-minute speech.

You can read more about each of these remarkable 40 individuals as well as the Alumnus of the Year, Michelle Niermann, president and chief executive officer for UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids, in the Oct. 25 issue of the weekly Corridor Business Journal.
