Cedar Rapids trucking company West Side Transport will hold its annual Warrior Wagon Donation Ceremony on Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at the company’s headquarters, 11801 6th St. SW.

The ceremony will honor U.S. military veterans and include a donation presentation to a veterans nonprofit organization. The company has not yet announced which organization will receive this year’s donation.

The Warrior Wagon, a trailer decorated as a tribute to military service members, has traveled nationwide since its Nov. 11, 2022, debut, appearing at parades, ceremonies and community events. The trailer represents all branches of the military and serves as a fundraising tool, with proceeds supporting veterans organizations.

“Veterans have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms, and we believe it’s our duty to give back,” said Ben Goyette, a Marine Corps veteran and manager of operations at West Side Transport. “The Warrior Wagon is a symbol of our gratitude and commitment to supporting those who have served our nation.”

The event is open to the public, community leaders and media.

West Side Transport was founded in 1968 by the Vogt family in Cedar Rapids. The company began with a focus on salvage and grew into a significant truckload carrier and brokerage business before it was acquired by EVO Transportation in September 2024.
