For the second year in a row, University of Iowa Health Care was dubbed the No. 1 “most humanizing” U.S. health care brand, according to a recently published brand report.
Brand experience company Monigle’s Humanizing Brand Experience report ranks more than 200 brands across 71 markets, drawing on research from more than 27,000 consumers.
The report explores the different ways an individual experiences a health care brand through an organization’s clinical facilities, providers, research endeavors, and public perception.
Health care consumers identified quality medical outcomes, empathy, wellness, innovation, transparency and “best people” as the most significant qualities in a health care brand. According to a release, UI Health Care performed well-above the national average in these areas, improving upon its score from last year.
“Earning the top position for the second year in a row is an honor and testament to our expert teams which deliver compassionate and best-in class care every day,” said Dr. Denise Jamieson, UI vice president for Medical Affairs, the Tyrone D. Artz Dean of the Carver College of Medicine, and the head of UI Health Care. “When I think of what it means to be a ‘humanizing brand,’ I think of how we treat patients with empathy and compassion. This recognition underscores UI Health Care’s commitment to the state, its people, and our neighbors.”
