The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has released its monthly loan approval figures in Iowa for the month of March 2025, including loans to several businesses in the Corridor.
Businesses receiving loan approvals from the SBA in January include:
- LJM Enterprises LLC of Clarence, which was approved for a loan of $150,000, retaining five existing jobs.
- TJ Mill Inc. of Coralville, which was approved for two loans totaling $156,000, retaining three existing jobs.
- Ryersons LLC of Iowa City, which was approved for a loan of $268,400, creating three new jobs.
- RCD Holdings LLC of North Liberty, which was approved for a loan of $209,300, retaining one existing job.
- Discover Cedar Hotels LLC of Cedar Rapids, which was approved for a loan of $2,695,000, creating two new jobs and retaining 23 existing jobs.
- Powers Plowing LLC of Cedar Rapids, which was approved for a loan of $1,226,000, retaining four existing jobs.
- Glow Beauty Bar LLC of Cedar Rapids, which was approved for a loan of $150,000, creating five new jobs and retaining one existing job.
- In The Couch Investments LLC of Cedar Rapids, which was approved for a loan of $100,000, creating one new job and retaining one existing job.
- PAA LLC of Mount Vernon, which was approved for a loan of $2,036,300, retaining 45 existing jobs.
- Knallhart Kennels & Training Academy LLC of Riverside, which was approved for a loan of $1,090,000, creating two new jobs and retaining four existing jobs.
In total, the SBA backed 56 loans for $27,211,000 to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs, the SBA 7(a) and 504 programs, capitalizing 26 new and 30 existing businesses that report creating 131 new jobs and retaining 323 jobs as a result.
