The U.S. Small Business Administration backed 41 loans for $21,596,800 to Iowa businesses in August, including four in the Corridor.
Area businesses receiving loan approvals in June included:
- Eawood LLC, Amana, $445,500
- Skye’s The Limit Inc., Oxford, $10,000
- The Midnight Gem LLC, Cedar Rapids, $2,098,000
- Hunter Quality Contracting LLC, Lisbon, $120,000
Corridor loan approvals totaled $2,673,000 in June. Corridor businesses reported retaining nine jobs and creating 17 as a result.
Statewide, the SBA 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized 16 new and 25 existing businesses that report creating 165 new jobs and retaining 189 jobs as a result.
