The North Liberty Community Pantry will host its 17th annual Stone Soup Supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at the Hy-Vee Center at Centennial Park, 1565 St. Andrew Drive in North Liberty.

“We are thrilled to bring our neighbors together for our 17th Annual Stone Soup Supper,” said Ryan Bobst, executive director of NLCP. “We have adapted the story of stone soup, knowing it takes the community coming together to help our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Sharing this warm meal is at the heart of our mission.”
The event will feature soups donated by 13 local restaurants and a presentation from Mr. Bobst on the pantry’s first year operating from its new facility, which opened this past June.
“Stone Soup Supper will help us kick off another year of invaluable community support,” Mr. Bobst said. “Thanks to our wonderful staff, volunteers, and donors, we maximized the capacity of our new facility and set several records in 2025.”
The pantry distributed 918,219 pounds of food and 63,976 clothing items to a record 4,446 neighbors in 2025, increases of 25% and 23% respectively from 2024. The organization now serves 1 in 7 North Liberty residents, Mr. Bobst said.
The North Liberty Community Pantry provides free food and clothing resources to residents of North Liberty and rural Johnson County. The organization also connects neighbors to additional resources and services.
Ticket and sponsorship information on the event is available at North Liberty Community Pantry’s website.
