The McGrath Family of Dealerships has announced the pending sale of McGrath Hawkeye Harley-Davidson in Coralville to the Junge Automotive Group, a dealership ownership group in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City Corridor.

The sale is expected to close Oct. 16, according to a news release.

“It has truly been our privilege to serve Harley-Davidson riders in the area,” the McGrath leadership team said in a statement. “We are deeply grateful to our employees and loyal customers for their dedication and support over the years.”

The Junge Family brings experience in dealership ownership to the transaction. McGrath leadership expressed confidence in the new ownership’s ability to continue serving the dealership’s customer base.

“As our organization continues to grow, we are placing additional focus on improving and enhancing our automotive dealerships across the region,” the McGrath family stated. “Selling the Hawkeye Harley-Davidson location allows us to focus on strengthening our automotive and powersports businesses in Eastern Iowa.”

Business operations will continue beginning Oct. 17. The McGrath and Junge families said they will work together to ensure a smooth transition.
