Executive Director Hall-Perrine Cancer Center AGE: 38 What was your first job? Radiation therapist. Best advice you ever received? Never be afraid to fail. What do you consider your biggest break so far? Mercy taking a chance on me so I can help them grow their potential. Also, the ability to build a cancer center in southwest Wisconsin in a previous role. What would most people be surprised to learn about you? I grew up as a shy kid that shined in the right environment. Over time, I have broken through that to lead large teams. If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support? I would give it to covering the financial toxicity of cancer care. I never want cost to be a barrier to care. Some estimates say 1/4 of cancer patients experience financial hardship through their cancer care. What are your passions outside of the workplace? Golf, Green Bay Packers, family. What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace? We see potential in things and work hard to exceed it. Our job is to think differently, help others see possibilities and help those collective ideas come to light. What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50? Health care to be re-imagined with completely integrated technology that works for caregivers and patients. We have the opportunity to use new technology to make care easier to access and more integrated across systems. We need to break the barriers and focus on the end user (patient) to make the experience of health care great for all to improve the health of the community, especially those at greatest risk.
