The Iowa City Area Association of Realtors (ICAAR) hosted its inaugural banquet and awards ceremony Oct. 9 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, celebrating new leadership and recognizing outstanding members for their contributions to the real estate community.
Phil O’Brien of Urban Acres Real Estate transitioned into the role of 2026 immediate past president, while Jerad Ruth of Skogman Realty was installed as president. In his remarks, Mr. Ruth emphasized the importance of service and collaboration among realtors.
“As a committee member, a committee chair, board member, your involvement in our organization will be recognized, your time will be respected, you will find value here,” Mr. Ruth said.
Sarah Miller of Lepic-Kroeger Realtors and Elijah Gustafson of Edge Realty Group joined the ICAAR Board of Directors as new members.
ICAAR also presented annual awards to members who exemplify excellence in the profession and service to the community.
Award recipients included:
- Realtor of the Year: Rob McCain, Urban Acres Real Estate
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Mike Jensen, Lepic-Kroeger Realtors
- Professional Newcomer of the Year: Elijah Gustafson, Edge Realty Group
- President’s Merit Award: Tim Conroy, Blank & McCune Real Estate
- Distinguished Service Award: Stacy Schroeder, Edge Realty Group
- Staff Appreciation Award: Sean McIntyre, Urban Acres Real Estate
Affiliate Awards: Jessica Greving, Residential Mortgage Network Inc.; Jessica Bandy, Hills Bank; and Clay Whisler, Whisler Studios
Gold Star Awards: Chris Campbell Boddicker, Urban Acres; Kathryn Fobian, Edge Realty Group; Tracy Adams, Edge Realty Group; Stacy Schroeder, Edge Realty Group; and Jamie Venzon, Lepic-Kroeger Realtors.
ICAAR represents more than 500 realtors and 650 MLS participants across the Iowa City area. The association provides training, advocacy and professional resources to help members conduct business with integrity and competence.
