Gonder to retire as Bankers Trust Eastern Iowa market president, Heideman named successor

    Bankers Trust announced Friday, Sept. 26, that Eastern Iowa Market President Jack Gonder will retire Jan. 2, 2026, with Senior Vice President Curt Heideman set to succeed him in the role.

    Mr. Heideman, who currently serves as senior vice president of business development and commercial relationship manager, will be promoted to Eastern Iowa market president effective Jan. 5, 2026. According to a news release, he brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial lending and market leadership roles in the Corridor.

    “Jack has been an integral part of Bankers Trust for many years, building a strong lending team and advancing relationships throughout the community,” said Todd Wishman, chief lending officer at Bankers Trust, in a statement. “We are grateful for his leadership and wish him the best in retirement.”

    Mr. Wishman expressed confidence in the leadership transition, saying Mr. Heideman will continue advancing the bank’s mission in Eastern Iowa.
