GCRCF approves more than $3 million in grants

    The board of directors of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation (GCRCF) have approved more than $3 million in grants to 269 nonprofit organizations.

    According to a news release, the awards include competitive Organization Support Grants, Program Support Grants, Linn County Grants, and Endowment Challenge Grants from the grant cycle in the fall of 2024; as well as distributions from donor-advised, designated, scholarship and nonprofit funds.

    GCRCF‘s competitive grant programs are supported by the Greater Good Fund and support efforts related to innovation, maintaining success, and building capacity through a competitive grantmaking process. During this grant cycle, GCRCF received over $2 million in requests for competitive grants and was able to fund $1,009,427 – 48% of the requested amount.
