Cedar Rapids-based Marketing Innovations makes its first appearance on the Best of list this year in a tie for Best Promotional Services Companies. Founded in 2001 by Kristine DeKlotz, Marketing Innovations helps companies fill their promotional needs with one-on-one service and some helpful technology. The firm, based out of Ms. DeKlotz’s home, offers everything from commodity-type supplies, like pens and magnets, to highly customized branded products, like powder coated Yeti tumblers. It also offers its larger clients access to proprietary websites, where they can build a storefront and have promotional products shipped around the world, without having to do any of the fulfillment or distribution work – a service that has fueled the firm’s rapid growth over the past five years. “We very service-driven and try to focus on making it easy to do business with,” Ms. DeKlotz said.
