Axiom Consultants is having a good year. Fresh off being named the CBJ’s 2021 Fastest Growing Company, with 339.34% growth over the two-year period from 2018-20, the Iowa City-based firm is now laying claim to its third Best Engineering Firm title in its three-year existence.
“The ability to provide full-service engineering under one roof and in a small package is very unique and helps set Axiom apart,” said principal Brian Boelk of the company he cofounded in 2018 as a one-stop shop offering civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering. “Within that, we strive to provide our clients and staff a different level of relationship as it relates to communication, timeliness and depth.”
Mr. Boelk said Axiom is constantly seeking ways to enhance client experience through both technology and staff expertise. Most recently, that includes use of 3D scanning equipment and services, drone flights and 3D site renderings.
Technology was also a priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic when staff had to learn to work and communicate remotely.
“As we slowly return to ‘normal’ with regards to the number of staff back in person in the office, we have quickly realized how much we missed and how important it is to have that daily socialization for our family-like culture,” Mr. Boelk said. “We really look forward to company family gatherings and the ability to visit with our clients on a more personal basis.”
