Better Together 2030 to host fourth annual Excellence in Action Awards Jan. 29

    Better Together 2030 will host its fourth annual Excellence in Action Awards Thursday, Jan. 29, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Hy-Vee Center at Centennial Park, 1565 Saint Andrews Drive, North Liberty.

    The awards ceremony will recognize organizations and individuals advancing the All In Vision Plan’s goals for Johnson County, work that strengthens the county’s natural environment, neighborhood development, transportation, economic inclusivity and innovation in human services. 

    Special recognition categories include the Sizzle Awards and the Catalyst Award for leadership practices that encourage collaboration, representative leadership and a growth mindset.

    “Each year, the Excellence in Action Awards highlight the people and partnerships moving our community forward,” said Cady Gerlach, Better Together 2030 executive director. “Their work reflects a shared commitment to a more connected, inclusive, and thriving Johnson County. This year’s awardees show an incredible progress toward the goals set in the All in Vision and I’m excited for to celebrate this work with everyone.”

    The awards program includes four categories:

    • The Bravo Awards will recognize excellence across the five All In Vision Plan focus areas. 
    • Sizzle Awards will honor individuals driving transformative change. 
    • Innovation in Education Awards will highlight education and early childhood initiatives. 
    • The BT2030 Community Awards will celebrate partnerships and the organization’s strategic plan development.
