The District: Czech Village & New Bohemia will bring back its Dinner on the Bridge event on Sept. 11, after pausing in 2024 due to construction.

The annual event is scheduled to take place on the 16th Avenue Bridge of Lions, which connects the Czech Village and New Bohemia neighborhoods in Cedar Rapids. The evening will feature live music, food and beverages from local vendors within The District.

Vendors slated to participate in The District Dinner on the Bridge include Crosby’s, Cafe Tacuba, The Full Bowl and Up in Smoke. The event will begin with a cocktail and appetizer hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a candlelit dinner at 6:30 p.m.

“We are excited to once again gather with our community for this unique dinner,” said Jennifer Borcherding, executive director of The District. “This event will highlight many of our wonderful vendors in The District, and be a celebration of our community and Cedar Rapids.”

Dinner on the Bridge is a ticketed event for attendees age 21 and older. Tickets are now on sale at $100 each or $1,000 for a table of 10.

The District is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a nationally accredited Main Street America community. It serves a 40-block historic area along the Cedar River, supporting residents, entrepreneurs and economic development within the Czech Village and New Bohemia neighborhoods.
