What was your first job? Movie rental store.

How long have you been in your current job? Nine years.

What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why? Affordable housing and access to groceries.

What do you consider your "big break" in your career, so far? Joining Van Meter. I've had many positions and constantly was supported in pursuing the next. Every position I have held here, I have made it my own while having fun.

If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support? If I had a million dollars, I would start a nonprofit and build a large building downtown for affordable housing for families. The dream is to run it similar to a dorm, equipped with a cafeteria, resources, and a liaison on each floor to be there if you need them. I believe people are good, and when they have access and support, they can live incredible lives!

What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace? We want to change the world. We have big dreams, and we know to accomplish those big dreams, we have to move fast and get things done. We also like to have fun, so if you see us having fun don't assume we aren't also changing the world.

What would most people be surprised to learn about you? I have Type-1 diabetes and am determined to support others every day.

What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50? A cure for Type-1 diabetes.

What are your passions outside of the workplace? Access – access to health care, access to housing, access to transportation, access to affordable insulin, and more :)

Best advice you ever received? Would a man say that?
