What was your first job? Gas station attendant.

What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace? We're hard workers and we generally care a lot about the work we're doing and who we're doing it with.

What do you consider your "big break" in your career, so far? I don't believe in one "big break," but I do believe in making lots of good decisions with the right people. The people I've met along the way have had the most profound impact on my life and my career. From meeting my husband in graduate school, to building a company with the people I work alongside today, I've been so fortunate to be around the best.

Who do you consider your local mentors? Rachel Trevizo, Chief Operating Officer, revology. I've looked up to Rachel since we were in graduate school, and after moving to separate parts of the country, our paths crossed again several years later when we both came "back home." We've been working together for nearly eight years now in various capacities. She's so darn smart, kind, and always willing to provide advice and guidance, whether work-related or otherwise.

I am also constantly bouncing everything off my husband, John, and my mom, Susan (and neither shy away from sharing their opinions with me!). They are both so supportive of me, my career, and our family.

If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support? The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and related research.

Best advice you ever received? Every interaction is a chance to make an impression. Do your best to make it a good one.

What are your passions outside of the workplace? There's nothing I love more than spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling together and exploring new places, but we also love to just hang at home and play in the driveway/backyard.
