The Weitz Company has named Chris Harrison as general manager of aviation, the company announced.
Mr. Harrison will retain his role as executive vice president while leading the company’s aviation group and supporting teams nationwide on large-scale aviation construction projects.
Mr. Harrison has worked at The Weitz Company for 38 years, holding various leadership positions and managing some of the company’s largest construction projects. He has led the Nebraska, Arizona and commercial divisions.
The company’s aviation division has completed projects at Kansas City International Airport, Des Moines International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Sioux Falls International Airport. Weitz’s aviation division has constructed more than 55 airside projects globally, including terminals, baggage handling systems, automated people movers, consolidated rental car facilities and other aviation infrastructure.
“Chris’s leadership, technical expertise, and deep understanding of our clients make him uniquely suited to guide our aviation team into its next chapter,” Kevin McClain, president and CEO of The Weitz Company, said in a statement. “We are excited to see his continued impact on both our people and our projects.”
Mr. Harrison most recently served in a business development leadership role, focusing on expanding product line sales for commercial sectors and aviation markets.
