A new vintage and art boutique is opening in Uptown Marion, offering shoppers a mix of antique finds and local handmade art.
The Glittering Pear, 620 7th Ave., will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, May 30, followed by its official grand opening on Saturday, June 1. The public is invited to attend both events.
Owner Ravyn Eilderts launched the business after a year of growth at vendor markets and encouragement from customers seeking a permanent storefront. Her shop showcases a blend of vintage and antique items, along with work by local artists and makers.
“I am excited that I have an opportunity to build a collective while sharing my love of old things and art with such a great small business community,” Ms. Eilderts said in a news release.
The Glittering Pear features collage art, woodworking, ceramics, mixed media, and other handcrafted items from area artists including Brimagined, Kevin and Molly Lurth, David Owens, Paige Ross, Lil’ Buggies Designs, and Callie Aaron Art.
The store will be open Thursdays from 12 to 6 p.m., Fridays 12 to 7 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ms. Eilderts also plans to continue participating in vendor markets throughout the year.
