TrueNorth Companies, L.C. has been recognized as a 2025 USA TODAY Top Workplaces winner and received national Top Workplaces Culture Excellence awards in four categories, the company announced Tuesday in a news release.

The Top Workplaces awards honor organizations with 150 or more employees that demonstrate strong, people-first workplace cultures. More than 42,000 companies were invited to participate in this year’s program, which is run by Energage, a Pennsylvania-based HR technology company, according to the release.

Winners are selected based on confidential employee feedback gathered through a survey that measures key themes of workplace experience. The program, now in its 17th year, evaluates organizations on factors known to correlate with strong performance and employee satisfaction, the company said.

“It’s an honor to be acknowledged for the fourth year in a row as a nationally ranked Top Workplace,” said Jason Smith, CEO of TrueNorth, in the release. “This recognition, grounded in colleague engagement and feedback, makes it especially meaningful. It also reinforces our commitment to being a premier career destination and legacy company with a quest to make a lasting positive impact for generations to come.”

In addition to national recognition, TrueNorth earned Top Workplaces Culture Excellence honors in four categories, the release stated:

  • Innovation – Recognizing organizations that foster a culture where employees are encouraged to contribute new ideas. TrueNorth has received this distinction for four consecutive years.

  • Work-life flexibility – Awarded to companies that support flexible work arrangements and demonstrate care for employee well-being. This marks the fifth consecutive year TrueNorth has earned the honor.

  • Leadership – Honoring companies whose leaders build confidence among employees and stay attuned to customer and front-line staff needs. TrueNorth has been recognized in this category for four years running.

  • Purpose & values – Celebrating organizations that clearly embed their mission and values into everyday work. TrueNorth has earned this recognition for the third straight year.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage, in the release. “In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
