University of Iowa Health Care to purchase last building from Mercy Iowa City bankruptcy

  • University of Iowa Health Care is in the process of acquiring the last piece of real estate from the Mercy Iowa City bankruptcy, located east of the downtown campus at 601 E. Bloomington St. in Iowa City.

    University of Iowa Health Care is looking to grow its Downtown Campus with a proposal to purchase the last building from the Mercy Iowa City bankruptcy estate.

    The university requested approval from the Iowa Board of Regents Sept. 17 to purchase 601 Bloomington St. and associated real estate in Iowa City for $1.2 million.
