Beauty retailer Ulta Beauty will open a new location at Westdale Town Center in the first quarter of 2026, the shopping center’s developer announced.
Frew Development Group, which owns and operates the center, said it turned over the retail space to Ulta at the end of August. The beauty chain will now complete interior renovations before opening.
The new Ulta store will be located between Michaels and JC Penney at the shopping center.
“Ulta Beauty is an exciting addition to Westdale Town Center,” said Todd Nelson, executive vice president of Frew Development Group. “When customers shop for beauty products, their preferred store plays a big role. When it comes to the United States, Ulta Beauty is one of the dominant retailers and brings a significant number of shoppers who follow it.”
Mr. Nelson said Ulta customers are drawn to the retailer’s product selection, multiple brands and ability to test products with staff assistance. He added that the addition of Ulta “is already dramatically changing the demand profile of Westdale.”
The new store will be in a new standalone building that will also house other retailers, Mr. Nelson said.
Ulta Beauty operates more than 1,450 locations across all 50 states, selling cosmetics, skincare, hair care and fragrance products from both high-end and mass-market brands, as well as its own private label products.
Westdale Town Center is a redeveloped shopping destination that was formerly the 900,000-square-foot Westdale Mall. Bainbridge Island, Washington-based Frew Development Group has transformed the property into an open-air retail center.
