Think Iowa City

Think Iowa City, the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, is offering grants up to $5,000 to organizations planning special events occurring between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.

According to a news release, the potential grant projects can be cultural, educational, literary, recreational or artistic.

“Well-run events improve the quality of life for residents and enhance a visitor’s experience in our communities,” said Stacey Houseman, vice president of sales with Think Iowa City. “We have seen an extraordinary resurgence in event programming post-pandemic. It’s wonderful to see.”

Applications are currently open and must be submitted by noon on April 22. Grant recipients will be notified in early June, and funds will be released as early as July 1.

The grant form is available by contacting the CVB at (319) 337-6592 or at https://thinkiowacity.com/about-us/community-grant-program/.

Past recipients have included Mission Creek Festival, North Liberty Blues & BBQ, and the Chinese Spring Festival.
