On Sept. 4, the CBJ’s Smaller Communities Forum will offer a unique opportunity to explore the economic vitality and strategic vision of smaller communities across the region. This new event is designed for business leaders, policy makers, investors, and residents interested in learning more about their communities economic success and potential.
Attendees will gain insight into the growth trajectories of 10 featured communities, and will hear from CEOs who operate their business from a small community. Representatives from each community will share the opportunities, challenges, and success of the smaller communities fueling growth across the Corridor.
Participating communities at this year’s event include: Anamosa, Hiawatha, Robins, Solon, Tiffin, Tipton, Vinton, Washington, West Liberty, and from Iowa County. The CEO fireside chat features Tony Bedard, of Frontier Co-op, and Lisa Shileny, of Hills Bank, with more to be announced. Attendees can continue the conversation at the networking reception immediately following the event.
Beyond the data and presentations, this event is a celebration of the character and contributions of these smaller communities. Their identities, leadership, and commitment to growth all help build a resilient and dynamic region.
Taking place at the Hotel at Kirkwood on Sept. 4, attendees to this new event will be positioning themselves to build meaningful relationships, discover business and investment opportunities, and contribute to strategies that elevate the entire region.
