Shop Iowa Day will return Oct. 8, bringing together small businesses and communities across Iowa for a one-day statewide sales event.
The online marketplace ShopIowa.com, a statewide initiative powered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and managed by Member Marketplace, Inc., will again feature products from businesses in all 99 counties. The platform allows small retailers to list and sell products online, offering a central place for Iowans to buy from local merchants.
“Iowa’s small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities,” said Cherie Edilson, founder of Member Marketplace. “Shop Iowa Day gives everyone an easy, exciting way to support those businesses, discover new favorites and keep dollars right here in Iowa.”
ShopIowa.com includes listings for apparel, food, home goods and other products. This year’s event will include several sitewide and business-specific promotions, including:
- 30% off purchases using a coupon code available Oct. 8.
- A chance to win a $250 Shop Iowa shopping credit and other social media giveaways.
- Limited-time discounts from participating small businesses.
- Free shipping or local pickup options from select sellers.
Early access begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 for Shop Iowa email and text subscribers. Deals will continue through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 8.
Businesses can register for free on ShopIowa.com/sell to create a profile and list products.
