See the companies named 2023’s Coolest Places to Work

Each year the CBJ’s Coolest Places to Work award identifies and honors local companies that have created the most engaging and rewarding work environments.

Companies are grouped into three size categories: Small, those with 20 or fewer employees; medium, those with 21-99 employees; and large, those with 100 or more employees.

As always, the selection process was overseen by Skywalk Group, the women-owned recruiting and human resources consulting service based in Cedar Rapids. Scores were tabulated based on voluntary and anonymous employee surveys about the company’s workplace culture. At least 60% of employees had to participate in the survey for consideration.

The top eight in each category are recognized. This year’s “Coolest of the Cool” is Northwestern Mutual Eastern Iowa.
