SBA approves $22.4 million in Iowa small business loans in April

The U.S. Small Business Administration approved 45 loans totaling more than $22.4 million to Iowa businesses in April 2025, according to newly released monthly figures.

The financing was made available through the SBAโ€™s two largest lending programs and came from participating lenders across the state.

The SBAโ€™s 7(a) and 504 programs helped capitalize 21 new and 24 existing businesses in Iowa last month, according to a release.

Together, the recipients reported creating 110 new jobs and retaining 260 existing positions as a result of the financing.

According to the SBA report, four Corridor businesses received loans under the program:

  • Jocelyn Taylor Bridal & Prom LLC of North Liberty received $304,900, retaining three positions and creation one.
  • Knutson Metals of Cedar Rapids received $150,000, retaining two positions.
  • Master Certified Mobile RV Services of Cedar Rapids received $5,500, supporting one existing position.
  • Operation Imprint LLP of Ainsworth received $15,000 and created two new positions.
