Phelan’s Interiors transitioning to corporate sector

Cedar Rapids-based Phelan’s Interiors is transitioning to the corporate sector, according to a news release from Phelan’s.

According to the release, the design services and products company has decided to focus entirely on corporate design as residential trends have shifted in recent years. From now on, Phelan’s will cater to health care, retirement communities, hospitality and retail for corporate environments projects.

Phelan’s Interiors said, “We would like to sincerely thank our many loyal customers for their support over the years.”

The company will hold its final retail sale on April 1.

Phelan’s opened in 1938 as Cedar Rapids Paint, selling paint and supplies to retail clients and lumberyards. The business became Phelan’s Interiors in 1982.

The company’s corporate operations will remain at 728 Third Ave. in downtown Cedar Rapids.
