Per Mar Security has snagged the No. 14 spot on Security Dealer Magazine’s Top 100 list for 2025, the company stated in a press release Tuesday.
According to SDM’s website, this year’s featured companies garnered the highest total annual revenue in a decade at $17.4 billion. Approximately 60% of the companies sell residential security systems, 73% commercial, and more than half sell both. The publication noted that “very few” cater exclusively to residential these days due to increased involvement with the commercial sector, mainly to mitigate competition from DIY and large national chains.
Per Mar noted that it has consistently ranked among top security dealers in the U.S. over the past three decades, attributing the most recent ranking to the company’s “sustained financial strength and growth, built upon a long-standing dedication to evolving security solutions and a focus on customer partnerships across their footprint.” The company also took the No. 14 spot in SDM’s Top 100 list in 2023.
Per Mar is the largest, family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest, employing more than 3,000 people across its 28 branch locations. The company offers live video monitoring, security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services, and background checks for both residential and commercial customers.
“Per Mar Security is proud and honored to receive our highest ranking to date on the SDM 100 list. Being ranked 14th, as well as now being in the top 20 for the sixth consecutive year is a tremendous achievement for all our teammates who work day and night to protect our customers,” said Chris Edwards, president of Per Mar Security’s Electronic Security Division. “I’m particularly proud of the way our team has embraced and utilized emerging technology such as video AI to provide the very latest and most sophisticated alarm technology in the industry.”
