Lydia Brown has been named the next president of the Mercy Medical Center Foundation, with her tenure set to begin in mid-June. She will succeed Lorrie Erusha, who has held the role since 2020.

Ms. Brown brings more than three decades of experience in leadership, fundraising and community engagement. Her previous work includes leading campaigns for organizations such as United Way of East-Central Iowa, Four Oaks of Iowa and the Junior League of Cedar Rapids. Most recently, she served as vice president of development for the Tiffany Earl Williams Team with Skogman Realty and Midwest Equity, where she focused on growth initiatives and economic development.

A longtime Cedar Rapids resident, Ms. Brown has served on the Mercy Medical Center board of trustees since 2010 and has held leadership positions with several local organizations.

“I am so honored to be chosen to lead the Mercy Foundation,” Ms. Brown said in a statement. “I am so fortunate to be associated with this incredible organization and hope to continue the work others have started.”

Ms. Brown and her husband, Mike, have three adult children. In her free time, she enjoys theater, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

“We’re excited to welcome Lydia into this leadership role,” said Dr. Timothy Quinn, Mercy president and CEO. “Her strong community ties and strategic mindset will help move the Foundation forward in meaningful ways.”
