Linn County awards $200K in economic development funds

    The Linn County Board of Supervisors awarded $200,000 in economic and community development funding to 13 Linn County organizations.

    According to a news release sent by the county, the Linn County Economic and Community Development Fund was established to foster and support economic growth and enhance quality of life in Linn County. This is an annual competitive application process. 

    The following organizations were awarded economic development funding this year:

    NewBo City Market The Hatchery Program $22,000
    Riverview Center Trauma Informed Care $16,000
    Tanager Place Freedom Schools Afterschool Program $21,500
    Trees Forever Our Woodland Symposium $7,000
