The Linn County Board of Supervisors is now accepting applications for its annual Economic and Community Development Fund, which supports initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and improving quality of life for residents.
The competitive grant program is open to eligible organizations located in Linn County or operating a branch within the county. A total of $100,000 is available this year.
Projects or programs seeking funding must directly benefit Linn County residents. According to the county, priority will be given to programmatic and capital projects over general operating support.
Preferred applications will promote economic growth or community development, show return on investment, avoid duplicating existing initiatives, and demonstrate a plan for sustainability beyond county funding.
The deadline to apply is Aug. 7 at 4:30 p.m. Additional information and application materials are available at LinnCountyIowa.gov.
