The Iowa Restaurant Association has named a Cedar Rapids food and beverage (F&B) director as one of its 2024 “40 Women to Watch” in Iowa’s hospitality industry. This recognition “celebrates women who exemplify the diversity, dedication and leadership within the state’s hospitality sector,” a release stated.
F&B Director of The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, Kasi Tenborg Carroll, has followed her passion for the hospitality industry through numerous roles within the field, including general manager and sous chef, before landing her position at the state’s largest full-service teaching hotel.
“It has always been an act I have enjoyed, even on the hard days, sometimes more on the hard days,” said Ms. Tenborg Carroll. “I love the sense of pride that comes from serving people and creating experiences for guests.”
The Iowa Restaurant Association’s “40 Women to Watch” honors women statewide who have demonstrated a “deep commitment to their customers, teams and businesses,” the release said.
Ms. Tenborg Carroll, along with the other honorees, will be recognized during the Annual Celebrating Excellence Awards Ceremony on Nov. 18, held in conjunction with the Iowa Hospitality Showcase.
