Best advice you ever received?
“You can learn something new from every person that you will ever meet.” I’ve learned that keeping an open mind opens doors to new opportunities, relationships and experiences. I believe firmly in the paradox of education – the more you learn, the more you realize you do not know.
What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why?
Diversity. We must continue to embrace people from different backgrounds and ethnic groups as our region continues to expand and grow. I have enjoyed watching our region embrace change in recent years, but I still believe there is more that can be done.
What are your passions outside of the workplace?
Growing in faith, spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, watching sports (Hawkeyes and Packers!) and listening to as much country music as possible!
What should people know about your generation in the workplace?
It is simultaneously the most creative and most distracted generation of all time. Next year millennials will make up half of America’s workforce. Garnering the attention and harnessing the talent of our generation will continue to be a major opportunity for any organization.
What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?
Raise good-hearted, healthy kids, love my wife, contribute to our community in a positive way and run a business that serves and impacts others.
