The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS (ICAAR) has reaffirmed its commitment to disaster recovery and housing support through a $2,365 donation to the REALTORS Relief Foundation (RRF), a national organization that provides housing-related assistance to families affected by natural disasters.
RRF delivers direct aid to families impacted by hurricanes, floods, wildfires and other emergencies. Since its inception, the foundation has distributed more than $370,000 in disaster relief to Iowans, including $250,000 following the August 2020 derecho.
“ICAAR is proud to support the REALTORS Relief Foundation’s mission,” the organization said in a release. “These efforts are critical to helping families recover and rebuild after disaster strikes.”
RRF operates under a 100% donation model, directing all contributions exclusively toward relief efforts. No funds are used for administrative costs, allowing each dollar to directly support families in need.
The foundation accepts donations year-round, with the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS encouraging its members and community partners to make a donation to help sustain housing stability nationwide.
The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS is a trade association representing more than 500 residential and commercial real estate professionals in the Iowa City area.
