The Iowa City Area Association of Realtors held its annual Realtor Ring Day on Dec. 5, with more than 50 volunteers staffing Salvation Army kettles at six locations across North Liberty, Coralville and Iowa City.
The annual Iowa City Realtors volunteer event supports Salvation Army programs including emergency shelter, food assistance, clothing resources and holiday gifts for children. In past years, Realtor Ring Day has raised as much as $30,000 in a single day, according to the association.
“As Realtors, our members are woven into the fabric of this community,” the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors said in a statement. “Whether helping someone find their next home, supporting local initiatives, or stepping up when neighbors need it most, Realtors understand the importance of service. Realtor Ring Day is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together for a cause bigger than ourselves.”
The Iowa City Area Association of Realtors represents more than 500 residential and commercial real estate professionals throughout the Iowa City area.
