Hills Bank to host fraud prevention forum for Iowa businesses

    Hills Bank will host the Fraud & Finance Forum 2025 on Oct. 29 at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids.

    The half-day event will focus on fraud prevention, cybersecurity and financial risk management for Iowa businesses. Industry experts, law enforcement professionals and business leaders will share strategies and case studies.

    The forum will include expert panels on business banking fraud, cybersecurity and internal controls. Representatives from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Postal Inspection Service will present real-life case studies.

    “Fraud is evolving rapidly, and no business is immune,” said Ian Probst, treasury management officer at Hills Bank. “This forum is about equipping our local business community with the knowledge and tools they need to stay ahead of the threats.”

    The event runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Attendance is free but registration is required at www.hillsbank.com/business-academy.
