UnityPoint Hospice is inviting the community to pick up a Camp Embracing Memories winter camp kit.
The kit is provided is designed to add to a toolbox of coping skills that are helpful throughout life, but particularly as individuals work through the grief process. Supplies include everything needed for the child/teen and family to engage in the activities.
Included options will be based on participant ages:
- A teen camp kit for those ages 13 and older
- A child camp kit for those 12 years of age and younger
Activities include remembrance projects for families to complete with their child/children. Adults are encouraged to do these activities the children/teens. Conversation starters also are included.
The kits may be picked up between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13-16 at UnityPoint Hospice, 290 Blairs Ferry Rd, Suite 100, Cedar Rapids.

UnityPoint Hospice Bereavement Services is for children and the families that support them. This program is free for children and their families thanks to a partnership with Cedar Memorial.
