"El Azul was founded on the belief that quality Latino foods and ingredients should be available to everyone in the North Liberty and surrounding areas," a message reads on the market's website. "North Liberty has no other open grocery stores on Sundays, and residents have to drive far for grocery staples and wait in long lines at bigger chain stores."
Offering items including fresh breads, meats, beans, salsas and drinks, customers are also able to purchase a wide selection of foods not easily found elsewhere locally such as pork tamales and menudo.
One post on Facebook shows the market offering steak and tinga pies, as well a steak stew, salsa verde and green chili dish.
