When the team at Integrated Connection found out they debuted on the Fastest Growing Companies list in 2021 at No. 14, they were understandably excited.  But they vowed to not only be on the list in 2022, but to be at the top of it.  The Cedar Rapids firm accomplished that goal with 248.5% growth between 2019-2021. Integrated Connection is a logistics supplier of transportation services, delivering full truckload shipments, and is able to accommodate team services when needed. The company also provides complete warehousing and trailer storage services including transloading and packaging.  The CBJ’s 15th annual Fastest Growing Companies list continued to show stability this year as it welcomed back 18 previous honorees, including 11 firms that appeared on last year’s list. Based on revenue numbers from 2019 to 2021, Corridor companies making the list averaged 99% growth, ranging from 43.44% for newcomer and 25th place finisher Cedar Rapids Endodontics to Integrated Connection’s list-topping 248.52%. Urbana-based Clickstop made a record 12th consecutive appearance on the list at No. 20 and 49.18% growth. Other companies racking up multiple appearances on the list this year include Spotix Inc. of North Liberty (No. 6); Almost Famous Popcorn of Cedar Rapids (No. 8); Marion-based EcoLips Inc. (No. 22); Streff Electric of Cedar Rapids (No. 24);  Inteconnex (No. 23),  EcoLips (No. 22). Seven newcomers landed on the 2022 list, including Cedar Rapids Endodontics (No. 25), Home Town Restyling (No. 21), CellSite Solutions (No. 15), Nations Financial Group (No. 14) CHOMP (No. 12), Woofables, The Gourmet Dog Bakery (No. 11) and Pinnacle Realty (No. 4). This year’s top five looked much different than last year’s with only Splash Pool and Spa Builders repeating, moving up two spots from No. 5 in 2021 to No. 3 in 2022. Pinnacle Realty made its debut on the list in the top five, coming in at No. 4 with 146.59% growth between 2019-2021.  Cedar Rapids took bragging rights to the largest number of fastest growing companies for the seventh year in a row. The Corridor’s largest city was home to 15 companies on the list, followed by North Liberty, Hiawatha and Coralville with two apiece. Iowa City, Marion, Lisbon and Urbana each had one top 25 finalist. Nominations for 2022’s Fastest Growing list were solicited in April. To apply, companies had to demonstrate revenue of at least $350,000 in each of the fiscal years ending 2019, 2020 and 2021, and be headquartered in Kirkwood’s seven-county region. Honkamp Krueger & Co. ranked nominees according to revenue growth over that time period. Honorees were recognized June 7 at a ceremony held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids. The event was sponsored by DB&T, Honkamp Krueger & Co. PC, Nyemaster Goode PC, Mount Mercy University, MRA and TLC Associates.
