Collins Community Credit Union selects new CEO 

Jason MacDonald selected as next Collins Community president and CEO

Collins Community Credit Union has selected Jason MacDonald as its next president and CEO. The selection follows an extensive search facilitated by a leadership development firm, as stated in a Monday release from Collins Community. 

“We’re so excited to welcome Jason to Collins Community. We’re confident that his experience, willingness to pioneer innovative solutions, and passion for driving strategic growth will lead our credit union into a strong future as we seek to aspire, ignite and achieve for the benefit of our members and communities,” said Marsha Schulte, chairperson of the Collins Community Board of Directors, in the release.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Mr. MacDonald most recently served as chief information, strategy & people officer for Keesler Federal Credit Union, the release states. He also previously served as senior vice president for the Information Technology for Central Minnesota Credit Union.

“I am truly honored to join Collins Community Credit Union and look forward to working alongside the team to keep our members at the center of all we do while actively engaging with the community,”  Mr. MacDonald said in the release. “Together, I know that we will continue our mission to make a difference every single day and show our members that they matter more than their money.”

 Mr. MacDonald earned a Master of Arts in IT Leadership from the College of St. Scholastica and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He is a “lifelong learner and an active community volunteer,” as stated in the release. 

Mr. MacDonald is married to his wife Sarah. Together, they have four children and two standard poodles. In his free time, Mr. Macdonald loves to travel, cook, golf, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with his family.
