Cedar Rapids-based marketing and branding agency JWMorton has rebranded after 40 years in business. The updated brand includes a streamlined name, new logo, and a redefined slogan: โ€œPowerful, passionate, proven.โ€

โ€œOur new branding reflects where weโ€™ve been and where weโ€™re headed,โ€ said Jeff Westrom, co-founder of JWMorton, in a news release. โ€œThe industry has changed dramatically over the past four decades, and this refresh is a way to honor our history while staying focused on whatโ€™s next for our clients and our agency.โ€

The updated name, shortened from โ€œJ.W.Morton & Associatesโ€ to simply โ€œJWMortonโ€, aligns with industry trends favoring brevity and modernity, the release states. The agency also launched a revamped website as part of the rebrand.

According to the release, JWMorton began as a two-person team in a basement, serving a single client. Over the years, the agency has grown into a full-service firm. From launching Iowaโ€™s first bank website in 1996 to producing a national Super Bowl commercial in 2012, JWMorton has consistently embraced new media and technology to deliver standout results.
