Bug Soother bug spray has collaborated with Cedar Rapids-based Lion Bridge Brewing Company for a limited release summer ale.
Lion Bridge’s new beer, Summer Soother, features citra hops, lemongrass, and hints of vanilla – a nod to Bug Soother’s infamous “scent of summer.”
“Lion Bridge always strives to be a catalyst to conversation and community,” Lion Bridge Brewing Founder and Head of Operations Quinton McClain said in a news release. “This collaboration with Bug Soother felt like a perfect manifestation of our mantra. Summer Soother is delicious and was a really fun project to bring out just at the right time of year.”
“Bug Soother’s iconic status paired with Lion Bridge’s award-winning beers is the greatest collaboration we could ever have imagined,” said Steve Shriver, founder and CEO of Eco Lips, which acquired Bug Soother in 2021. “When the idea came about, there was no question in anyone’s mind…we had to bring this to fruition. What’s not to love?”
Lion Bridge will be unveiling the new beer June 19, 2024 at The Lion Bridge Brewing Company Taproom, 59 16th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. It will be available at the brewery, as well as at select Eastern Iowa retailers while supplies last.
